A four-year full-time BEng programme combining general engineering foundations with later specialisation in mechanical engineering.
Engineering (Mechanical) covers engineering fundamentals in the first two years before specialisation in mechanical engineering. The programme develops knowledge of mechanical systems, design and engineering applications and includes industry-linked learning opportunities.

Academic & English Requirements
2027 Entry: SQA Highers Standard BBBB with Mathematics and Physics or Engineering Science required; A Levels Standard BBC with good performance in Mathematics plus at least one of Physics, Design & Technology, Engineering or Chemistry; BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma DMM with good performance in Mathematics and Physics; International Baccalaureate 32 points with 5, 5, 5 at HL including Mathematics and Physics.
GCSE/National 5 English requirements apply. The programme begins with general engineering study before specialisation in Mechanical Engineering in third year.
