Top Courses in Australia to Shape the Future
Australia offers a myriad of courses for international students
Australia's academic year is similar to many other Western universities and runs on a semester-based basis.
Under-graduate degree: Undergraduate degrees are generally for three years, and for four years for an honors degree. The 3- year degree program allows a student to continue it to a fourth year with honors. In order to take the honors degree, a student should enroll in a research program after their 3rd year of under-graduate degree. However, there are certain institutes that allow students to complete their bachelor degree in two years instead of three.
Postgraduate degrees: On the other hand, a postgraduate degree is for one or two years, and three for a PhD. The course is usually two years after a bachelor's degree. But a master's degree can be taken in one year too, but only if a student has done their bachelor’s with honors.
Australia has two major intakes - one in February, and the application deadlines for this intake is from September to November of the previous year. Another one is in July, with an application deadline from April to June. Although the dates may vary depending on the university and/or course in Australia.
However, there is another intake, which is not that big, in the month of November, and the application deadlines are from July to September.
